We exist to create spaces where people can interact with Christ, find belonging, and care for others

Our Values

Our values name the culture we want to cultivate.
We are rooted in the historic Christian faith and anchored by the Creeds. Jesus shows us who God is, shapes how we read Scripture, and leads us in how we live, love, serve, and invite others to follow Him with us.
We believe people are always being shaped by their habits, relationships, experiences, choices, and beliefs. We want to be shaped by Jesus and become more like Him, so we make room for humility, curiosity, repentance, learning, listening, and change.
We were not made to do life or faith alone. We want Compassion Church to be a place where people can belong, build relationships, find support, and know they are not alone.
Compassion is more than a feeling. It is love in action — caring, giving, serving, working for justice, and moving toward people and places of need with the love of Jesus.
Joy does not mean pretending everything is fine. It means we can name what is hard and still celebrate what is good, moving through life and service with gratitude, humor, creativity, tenacity, and hope.

Our Guardrails

Our guardrails help us make decisions.
  • Jesus shapes how we read Scripture, lead, serve, and live together.
  • We follow his Way, not just use his name.
  • We measure faithfulness by becoming more like him
  • People matter more than appearances.
  • We make room for honest questions, repentance, learning, and change.
  • We choose faithfulness and growth over looking successful.
  • Full calendars do not always mean a healthy community.
  • We create opportunities for people to know and be known.
  • We invest in relationships that help people belong, find support, and grow together.
  • Compassion moves us toward people, not away from pain.
  • We listen, learn, and respond with practical love.
  • We join God’s work of justice, mercy, healing, and restoration.
  • We want to be faithful, but not frantic.
  • We choose rhythms that help ministry remain healthy and life-giving.
  • We make space for gratitude, creativity, humor, tenacity, and hope.
